Habenaria medioflexa first flowring (waited 3 years!)

Habenaria medioflexa is a southeast Asian species that likes warm temperatures, which also seems to like a mix with a higher percentage of organic matter. I purchased mine as a seedling just more than three years ago and have been slowly encouraging the annual growth carefully until it finally matured to produce its first inflorescence recently. It grows slowly compared to some of the other Habenaria species, but it also seems to not go completely dormant if kept slightly moist. This worked in my favour because I could keep an eye on its development continuously while small, and I assumed that having at least a few green leaves would facilitate a slow but continuous supply of starch to increase tuber growth and size. It is a late summer/early autumn bloomer, beginning just after H. dentata has finished and towards the end of both H. regnieri and H. roebelenii.
